Nancy and Matthew had their wedding ceremony at the Freemason Street Baptist Church in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. They held their wedding reception at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center. What an incredible day! Not many couples can say they were married during a blizzard! Nancy and Matthew’s wedding even made NBC News.
Some details that made this day unique were Nancy wore rubber boots under her dress while taking pictures in the snow. Matthew is an optometrist, so the bride and groom had elements of optometry throughout their wedding. The bride and groom had a custom eye chart logo that was displayed on the Nauticus Monitor and on the wall of their reception. They had eyeglass cases as favors. Nancy also used a few feathers from her parrot in her bouquet. The groom wore custom photo cuff links and fun eye ball socks that were a gift from the bride.
